I received a press release notice for this last night and could not resist sharing. The race footage should be something to see!
* Update - here is the video from the Snausages Man Sled Race !
Starting at 9 a.m. today, the Snausages Man Sled Race is the first of its kind. In addition to bragging rights, the first team to cross the Snausages Man Sled Race finish line will win a monetary donation to the pet charity of their choice. Making sure no one walks away empty pawed, Snausages will also make a surprise donation to area organizations on behalf of the 2nd, 3rd and 4th place winners!
Four teams of men and women will race against each other to pull sleds, while the dogs navigate the reins across 75 yards of frozen Alaskan terrain. Watch as this human-canine bond is put to the test as Fido barks the shots and leads his human team to the finish line, victory and a charitable donation to an animal shelter/organization of their choice.
