I am always curious about what brings new people here. I don't know about you, but I like to take a look through visitor stats, and you'd be surprised by the way some people arrive at your blog. Aside from googling "worst blog ever" here are some of the ways that the unsuspecting have found their way to our little corner of the internet. These numbers are subject to fluctuation.
Spay remnants. #5
Finding Truffles - Vermont Chocolate. #1
Nipples of Mardi Gras this one has moved from page one to three, and it's about time!
Sexting Dogs #2 gets you here eventually.
Hippie Dog Vermont #7, likely to climb. :)
On a less fun note, we had to say farewell to an old friend last week. Our long term guest, Strange P has left the building. After months of inhabiting our garage, all has returned to normal - if you can call us normal to begin with! The best no-kill shelter around has taken him in, done a wonderful job of settling his nerves, and is ready to start letting him meet potential adopters.
This was bittersweet of course. We miss caring for him - but he had reached the point of feeling safe, and we had made him healthy and strong again. It is his turn to get a new shot; and had we not trapped an angry, starving cat on a cold spring evening, I'm not sure that he would have made it.
Wish him well....
I can't help but feel a little sad myself, even never having met your little stray ScaredE Cat, at your having to say goodbye to him.
ReplyDeleteBut what a wonderful thing you and Mrs. A did, to take him in, make him healthy again, give him love and confidence, and maximize his chances of finding a forever home. Kudos to you both.
Excellent job with Cat!
ReplyDeleteWe enjoy looking at that searches that get people to The Thundering Herd. The weirdest is the phrase Natasha Rusty and, well, an action verb. Somehow, we are thinking the result might be a surprise to those particular searchers.
Some strange searches there lol.
ReplyDeleteSimba and Jazzi xx
Best wishes Strange P!! Your new picture shows you are healthier and content. I hope that someday soon we will hear that a new family is lovin' you up in your forever home.
ReplyDeleteSo, how long until another one of those mustant khritters shows up?
ReplyDeleteHugz&Khysses,
Khyra
I am glad strange P is going to find a home (and maybe a new name). Those googles are pretty funny.
ReplyDeleteSlobbers,
Mango
We are quite sure that Strange P appreciated your hospitality!
ReplyDeleteOh, who doesn't wish P, strange or otherwise, well? And, besides wishing him well, I wish both you and the Mrs and pack the very best for investing that sort of energy into that animal so that he can move on to find love in his forever home. You all certainly gave him a notion of what he should be searching for in the qualities of being real Human Beings.
ReplyDeleteGoing to miss your Strange P... er, you know what I mean.
ReplyDeleteI don't have a way to find out who sees my blog and why. Perhaps someone will teach me.
ReplyDeleteGood for you on helping kitty. I hope all goes well for him.
Since you like helping animals, you should see my post on the 5 legged dog. Touching.
Goodbye, Strange P, and may your new home be full of 'nip and toy mice!
ReplyDeleteThank you for saving Strange P's life!!!
ReplyDeleteGood Karma!
Bon voyage Strange P (what a cute little kitty!) I hope you find a patient, loving and forever home. You are a strong survivor!!
ReplyDeleteGreat news although I know you will miss him. He is so so so cute. You did a great job.
ReplyDeleteTo the world, you may just be 1 person, but to 1 animal, you may just be the world.
Thanks for what you do!
Farewell, Strange P. Hope you find your forever home in no time.
ReplyDeleteFarewell Strange P. It has been great following your struggle and come back! Hope you find a good forever home real soon!
ReplyDeleteHello. We followed you here from Asta's blog -- and are now curious as to how you do the reverse search to find out the path that leads people to your blog indirectly.
ReplyDelete'Scuse our cyber-illiteracy!!
Jake and Just Harry
Bless you, Mrs. A and the 4-leggeds for helping Strange P. Without you he wouldn't have the chance for a happy and healthy life safe from harm and filled with more of the same love you have shown him over the past few months. As always, you make my heart smile!
ReplyDeleteWe all wish him well!!! Good luck Strange P!
ReplyDeleteAre they going to keep his name?
